I’ve been
practicing Nia for almost 3 years now. I also teach Bellydancing
and Kahuna Massage. I find that in movement and sound I remember
my soul. I read that in many Shamanic societies, if you came to
a shaman complaining of being disheartened, dispirited or depressed,
they would ask you one of four questions: “When did you
stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being
enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the
sweet territory of silence? Dancing, singing, storytelling, and
silence are the 4 universal healing salves.” Nia is a healing
salve. Each class is a celebration and I feel honoured & blessed
to bring the joy of movement into people’s lives!
